According to the Secretary for the Ministry of Labour, Social Services and East Africa Affairs Susan Mochache, it is good for the members of parliament to pass that bill to balance leadership.

Speaking in Nyamira town, Mochache noted that if that bill is passed, then females will be at a good position in leading the country in one way or the other.

“It is the difficult for MPs who are females to pass that bill in the national assembly, I ask all MPs; both males and females, to join together and vote for that bill on Thursday according to the constitution to attain the 2/3 gender rule,” said Mochache.

“Please MPs, help us to pass the bill, no need to ignore such important bill that will bring democracy in our county,” added Mochache.

Last week, the bill failed to pass in the national assembly because the number that was required to pass the bill never hit.
