Deputy President William Ruto has been warned against being ‘too sure’ of Kalenjin votes in 2017 elections by a section of ODM MPs.
Ruto has been facing resistance from a section of Rift Valley leaders with Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto leading the rebellion.
Junet Mohammed (Suna East) and Timothy Bosire (Kitutu Masaba) on Sunday said the region was tired with ‘retrogressive’ leadership of the DP.
“I want to assure the Deputy President that he should not be too sure of Kalenjin votes. He has been in power yet the community is one of the marginalized lots in the country,” said Junet.
“Let us not be hoodwinked that our community is in power yet we have poor roads and the economy is dwindling. Jubilee mistakes affect all Kenyans regardless of whether you are in government or not. Time has come for you to speak your minds by voting for ODM government,” added Bosire.
Opposition leader Raila Odinga graced the event and urged locals to vote against Jubilee government, accusing it of massive economic crimes.
