Led by Lari MP Mburu Kahangara and Kiambu Town MP Jude Njomo, they pointed out that Kiambu pupils who did well in last year's KCPE must be considered for slots in national schools in the County as a priority.

The duo claimed that they have reports of an attempt to deny chances the pupils of Kiambu who did well from joining the more than 15 national schools in the county.

“As Kiambu MPs we will stand in solidarity on this matter. Pupils who did well must be allowed to join the national schools that are here,” Mburu said.

Njomo added that they will undermine any Form One learning in the schools if their warning is not heeded to.

“It cannot be that we are working hard to promote learning here and when pupils perform well they are denied chances in these schools. We won't allow what happened last year to be repeated,” he said.

They duo were speaking in Lari Constituency on Friday when they met to address the residents.
