Kevin Oduor Owiti, 21, Kenya’s representative to the Mr World pageant made it top 4 in Mr World 2016 event held in Southport, UK, yesterday night.
Crowned alongside Miss World Kenya in Malindi, Kilifi County, in December 2015, Kevin is the first Mr Kenya in almost a decade now.
The 21-year-old model who happens to be 5'6 tall and a former Mr Catholic University carried the Kenyan flag high in competitive finals that featured top models from all over the world.
The pageant sought “The World’s Most Desirable but Kevin technically clinched the title of the most desirable man in Africa.
The annual competition was won by Mr India Rohit Khandelwah, a 26-year-old actor and TV personality. Puerto Rico took the second spot as Mr Mexico came third.
It was the first time in many years that Kenya was making it to the Mr World finals after the competition took a break with the holders concentrating with the Miss World event.
The model, who has made a small fortune from starring in commercials, had said that if he won the title, he would use it as a platform to campaign for the boy child.
