The family of the murdered IEBC ICT director Chris Msando has made a special appeal to Kenyans as investigations into the incident continue.
Led by his elder Peter Msando, the family has called on Kenyans to stop posting malicious across social media platforms and show consideration for the family.
“We are appealing to them to please be responsible on social media as some of the things being posted are not true,” said Peter Msando at the Lee Funeral Home on Wednesday.
He further called on the government to consider the help of FBI and Scotland Yard in resolving the murder of Msando who is set to be buried on August 19.
Politicians have been also called upon stop making reckless remarks that might compromise the case.
“We are also appealing to politicians to stop making remarks about him and if they have any information, they should give it to the police,” he said.
“We are deeply saddened, the family and country has lost a man with outstanding knowledge who career has been shining at every turn. We as a family are deeply shocked,” he added.
Msando was reported missing on Friday last week and his lifeless body was discovered on Monday in Kikuyu.
He was murdered alongside a female identified as Carol Ngumu.
