Led by Murang'a Woman Representative Sabina Chege and Tharaka Nithi Governor Onesmus Muthomi Njuki who spoke in different functions on Tuesday asserted that the Kikuyu community will fully back Ruto in his 2022 presidential bid.

Chege asked Sonko to worry about the Kamba votes instead of propagating lies.

"Kikuyu votes are like fish which has been caught already, Sonko should worry about the ones still in the ocean," Chege said.

She said the Kikuyu community has shown nothing but support for Ruto hence they are ready to reciprocate the loyalty come 2022.

Njuki noted that over the years, Ruto has shown he's worth of not only the Kikuyu votes but also Kenyans votes at large.

"Ruto's presidency is a sure bet in 2022, Sonko should know what he is saying," Njuki said.

He said it is early to debate about 2022 succession politics.

Speaking in Nairobi last Sunday, Sonko said there was a plot by some of the Kikuyu leaders to evade supporting Deputy President William Ruto's presidency in 2022.
