Moi Teaching and Referral hospital (MTRH) CEO Wilson Aruasa has urged Kenyans to enrol with the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF).
He said this will help them to settle their medical bills at ease without fund raising.
"If one is in possession of an NHIF he can access quality health care at any accredited hospital. It is sad that almost half of Kenya's population don't have NHIF putting their lives in danger," he said in Eldoret town, Thursday.
"NHIF also caters for cancer, hypertension, dialysis and diabetes therefore need to apply since a healthy nation is a wealthy nation," he added.
He said in this time and era knew cannot afford to be locked in the hospital in the name of not paying hospital bill yet NHIF is available and affordable at the same time.
"The charges are affordable this any Kenyan from any divide can apply for it," noted Aruasa.
