Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) staff have been hailed after the hospital was ranked among the best in customer service across the country.
The Eldoret-based second largest public health facility in the country was recently ranked third best after Aga Khan and Mater Hospitals’ but was the best in the Public Hospital category.
Speaking in Eldoret town on Friday, the Hospital's Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of Administration and Finance Dr. Tarus Kipchumba challenged the staff to focus on offering better services to mwananchi.
“Let’s continue improving on customer service since the customer is always the king. Yes, we could have been the best but sustaining the same is quite another. It requires concerted efforts for the realization of fast mover advantages,” noted Dr. Tarus.
He was speaking during the launch of the Records Management Policy guidelines that will ensure smooth implementation of Records Management Policy, Retention and disposit Schedule.
“The Hospital Management will ensure full implementation of all policies approved by the Board. We will provide resources, upgrade the requisite networks and infrastructure where necessary,” Dr. Tarus said.
“Monitoring & Evaluation, Reporting, and Learning are key tenets towards successful implementation. This must be followed by quarterly reports on the status of implementation of the policy,” he added.
