The Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret town has advertised 70 positions for the nurses.
This is in what is seen as a move to mitigate the effects of the ongoing nurses strike at the country's second biggest health facility.
"The successful candidates will be entitled to applicable allowances in the job group M9," MTRH CEO Dr Wilson Aruasa was quoted by the Star on Sunday.
About 1,000 nurses at the Hospital have been on strike since June 1, demanding for the implementation of a collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) they signed in 2015.
Recently, the nurses accused the Hospital's CEO Dr Wilson Aruasa and the Salaries and Renumeration Commission (SRC) for being a stumbling block in their bid to have the CBA implemented.
Dr Aruasa however insisted that the CBA can only be implemented after it is given a green light by the Salaries and Renumeration Commission (SRC).
"We have agreed with the nurses on everything in the CBA except for the Basic Salaries which we are waiting for a structure from the SRC," Dr Aruasa said on Wednesday.
"Nurses Union officials know very well that it's only after we get a no Objection letter from SRC that the CBA will be registered and implemented," he added.
