The County government of Uasin Gishu intends to increase Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital's ICU capacity.
Governor Jackson Mandago said this was a fulfillment of the recently signed agreement between MTRH and his government.
"My government will purchase six ICU beds that will increase the facility's keen-care accommodation. I will deliver the equipment before April,'' he said at a funeral service at Sugoi, Friday.
"My government is determined to provide quality healthcare since a healthy people is a healthy and hardworking nation.''
He reiterated plans for the Jubilee government to establish a much bigger Sh32 million referral hospital in Eldoret.
"The facility will have 2,000 bed capacity and in turn pave way for MTRH to be run by the County,'' he affirmed.
