President Uhuru Kenyatta has dismissed politicians insulting him saying that they have no development agenda for Kenya.
Speaking to crowds at the Kenya Vehicle Manufacturers (KVM) plant in Thika on Wednesday, the president said that the opposition had no agenda to help Kenyans apart from hurling insults at others.
He said that his administration will ignore the opposition's insults and instead stick to developing the country.
"We are doing all we can in reviving collapsed industries to enable our youth get jobs. The opposition has absolutely no agenda for developing Kenya apart from trading insults as you all saw yesterday," he said.
"Let them continue but macho ya chura hayamzuii ng'ombe kunywa maji (a frog's eyes do not prevent a cow from taking water). They have no interest in developing the country apart from making noise," he added.
"Our aim is to promote peace and unity. We have absolutely no reason to trade barbs with those who have no agenda for the country," Uhuru added.
