Nairobi governor has come under attack from residents who said he was not doing any work on the ground.

The residents criticised Sonko for speaking too much but doing little to help Nairobians.

This was after Sonko posted on Facebook saying he had sealed loopholes for cartels that operated in the former government.

"My administration has sealed the most obvious loopholes that led to the loss of revenue. My administration will make every effort to have a city where water is safe, accessible, affordable and regular," he posted.

But residents responded telling him to channel the time he was 'wasting' on social media to something profitable.

"Blah blah blah!! If u only spent half the time you do on social media doing actual work, then maybe we might see a difference but unfortunately thats not the case. I said again and I'm gonna repeat it for you to understand.. You are in office. You are in-charge, please stop this PR exercise if you truly know you can deliver and do exactly that...DELIVER!!!" said Don Straus.

"We have seen Matiangi on the ground doing the job and we can see the actual results. Let him formulate solid policies within the law and have them effected with an iron fist," said Shadrack Nganga.

Jay Felix said: "You talk too much and act less mheshimiwa. Mutua, Ngilu and Kibwana don't talk much but look at the their performance."

Amos Kirui said: "Sonko, with humulity, hizi barabara za hapa CBD, let them be tarmacked like like Thika Road. Hizi vitu unaweka eti kufunga potholes. Makes no diffrences with the former regime."

Julia Waruguru said: "This tense should now change from "will "to "has"...Promises are during campaigns when elected it's actions not more and more promises."
