Kiambu Governor William Kabogo says the death of Kabete MP George Muchai has broken his heart.
The governor also termed it an inexplicable tragic loss for the country especially in the development front. Kabogo hailed Muchai as a great contributor to development and was involved in numerous development projects within the county.
He said the death of such a remarkable leader is a blow not only to Kiambu County but the nation as well for losing such a go getter leader.
“Muchai had dedicated service to the people of Kabete and we can only pray to God for strength and courage during this trying time,” said Kabogo.
The governor was condoling with the family of the late MP and trade unionist at Kabete over the weekend said he had received the news of his murder with utter shock and disbelief.
Kabogo noted that Muchai was the second MP the county had lost in bizarre circumstances and asked for calm from county residents as the burial preparations commence. The county boss explained that the government will not rest or tire until the culprits are brought t book of law for the heinous act and inhuman murder.
“The government should ensure no stone is left unturned to unravel the cause of the death of Muchai,” assured Kabogo.
He called upon the government and security agencies to expedite the investigations to ease the tension in the country and to ensure not similar incident has occurred in the country.
The MP died alongside his two bodyguards and a driver.
