The Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi has said that threats by Leader of Minority in the National Assembly Francis Nyenze that Wiper Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka will defect from the National Super Alliance ( NASA) if he is not chosen the flag bearer are only making Jubilee leaders happy.
Speaking during a press conference, Mudavadi said that Kalonzo should stay in NASA without giving conditions.
''This thing of saying if it's not Musalia we will quit, if it's not Kalonzo we will quit, if it's not Wetangula we will quit or if it's not Raila we will quit, now if you quit that will only make Jubilee happy,'' he said, as quoted by Tuko.co.ke.
The former deputy President also urged leaders rallying behind Kalonzo’s presidential bid not to give conditions, adding that it is likely to cost the alliance.
''Stay in NASA without giving conditions, but you can as well leave now,'' he added.
Leaders from Ukambani have maintained that they will accept nothing but Kalonzo’s presidency if the opposition wants their support. Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama has, however, asked leaders rallying behind Kalonzo to go slow over the matter.
