Amani National Congress Leader Musalia Mudavadi has no political significance in Nasa, former Cabinet minister Musikari Kombo has claimed.
Speaking in Webuye on Monday, the former Local Government Minister noted that Mudavadi has no political relevance in NASA and that he adds no value to the opposition coalition.
Kombo cited Mudavadi's dismal performance as a presidential candidate during the 2013 general elections, where he garnered a paltry 470,000 votes.
“The 470,000 votes Musalia got in 2013, half of them were from Bungoma and New Ford Kenya supporters. So now I wonder where will he get votes to deliver to Raila?” he posed.
"Mudavadi was defeated on his home turf by Cord candidate Raila Odinga. Kombo asked: What political value will he then add to Raila’s campaign?" Kombo added.
Mudavadi, alongside Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula are expected to consolidate NASA support in the Luhya community.
The two shelved their presidential ambitions, throwing their weight behind NASA presidential candidate and ODM Party leader Raila Odinga.
