[Photo: Courtesy]Nasa co-principal Musalia Mudavadi has questioned the manner in which President Uhuru Kenyatta handed over Sh358 million for compensating integrated Internally Displaced Persons in Kisii.Uhuru also handed over another Sh472 million to another group of Integrated IDPs in Nyamira, June 7, 2017.However, Mudavadi wondered why it took Uhuru close to ten years to compensate them, saying the compensation was same as bribing the beneficiaries.Speaking in Taita Taveta county, the ANC party leader called on the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to investigate the matter and issue an explanation."Why did the compensation come during this campaign period? Why did it take them this long? There's a possibility that Uhuru is using state resources to campaign and IEBC should come clean on this," Mudavadi said, Friday. The IDPs who benefited from the funds were the last batches of the people who were displaced due to the post-election violence.
