Amani National Congress party leader Musalia Mudavadi is the new western region spokesman. Mudavadi out did his closest competitors Wycliffe Oparanya and Moses Wetangula to clinch the much coveted title, through a research conducted by a delegation of political science and public administration students of Nairobi University.
The ANC leader managed 39 per cent of votes to beat the duo who both tied at 30 per cent. 2650 respondents drawn from the entire western region were interviewed based on competence of the three candidates.
The poll was conducted between July and October this year. Upon his endorsement, Mudavadi said that he will work together with all leaders to ensure they speak in one voice.
"It will not be an easy task on my shoulder but I shall execute the mandate and carry it with dignity," said an elated Mudavadi.
