Mudavadi has said that NASA should remain united and focused while keeping its eye on the ball.

"I appeal to my colleagues in NASA and our support base to remember why we came together in the first place. We should never be distracted from that. Kalonzo's concerns are legitimate and that might be his style and does not necessarily means there are cracks within NASA as our adversaries may want to portray it," said Mudavadi on Wednesday in a local TV station.

On the question of why he is not as visible and enthusiastic as Kalonzo in having the NASA flagbearer named, Mudavadi says he already made his point clear that he wants to be the NASA presidential candidate and must not keep on reminding everybody everyday.

"When we formed NASA, I said I wanted to the be the coalition's flagbearer and I have always expressed interest in it. I, therefore, need not to jump on the rooftops daily talking about it. We already have a committee working on the matter and I have total confidence in it," he added.

Temperatures in NASA have risen in recent days after Kalonzo called for the NASA flagbearer to be named immediately without further delay. On Tuesday, his party gave a one month ultimatum in Emali.

On the other hand, ODM leader Raila Odinga has called upon his co-principals to stop 'dividing the hunt' before they have captured the animal that they are targeting.
