The three; Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala, his Vihiga counterpart George Khaniri and nominated lawmaker Godfrey Osotsi on Saturday poked holes into Mudavadi's recent call to the opposition to drop its push for a repeat presidential poll, vowing to lead it instead.

Mudavadi, on Tuesday, urged the National Super Alliance (NASA) to drop the quest and instead concentrate on the 2022 contest citing financial constraints, a call the three have rubbished.

"We will not relent in our push for electoral justice and the observation of the rule of law," Malala told the media after a meeting with Central Organization of Trade Union (COTU) boss Francis Atwoli at his Khuisero home in Kakamega.

The comments were echoed by Khaniri who observed that the rigging culture in the country is an unhealthy tradition that has to be suppressed.

"This is a struggle we are not willing to drop. If not countered now, we could end up with a situation where Kenyans will completely stop voting in the future," said the Senator.

The alliance supremo Raila Odinga's quarters has since announced its commitment towards ensuring that the nation heads to another presidential poll in August.

Odinga has rubbished President Uhuru Kenyatta's leadership tearing him an illegitimate head of state who must be dethroned.
