Amani National Congress (ANC) leader, Musalia Mudavadi has revealed what he discussed with former Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party secretary general, Ababu Namwamba.
Speaking in an interview on Tuesday, Mudavadi said he talked to Ababu about the possibility of leaving ODM and join his ANC party.
“I have talked to Ababu but he is yet to make his decision. I told him that ANC is available and he is free to join if he wants, but that is his decision. I am sympathetic to his dilemma,” Mudavadi said.
The ANC leader said he supports Ababu’s call for Luhya unity and called on community members to vote wisely in the coming polls.
“I support his call for unity in western Kenya. These people should wisen up and study the voting patterns of people in other regions in this country and learn to vote as a block,” Mudavadi said.
Ababu resigned as ODM secretary general early last month saying he was being sidelined by the ODM leadership.
He has since hinted at forming a third force that will battle it out with both the Cord and Jubilee coalitions in the 2017 polls.
