Amani National Congress Leader Musalia Mudavadi has dismissed claims that Opposition coalition NASA is in dissary.
In an address to journalists at ANC headquarters in Nairobi on Wednesday, Mudavadi maintained that all the NASA coalition partners were united towards a common agenda of transforming the country after the August polls.
"In Nasa, we are working together for a common goal. Everyone has his strategy. I don’t need to stand on every podium to say I should be the NASA flag bearer,” he observed.
On recent demands by coalition partner Wiper Party that Kalonzo Musyoka be declared NASA flag bearer, Mudavadi stated that every party was at liberty to employ any strategy to ensure they clinch the NASA ticket.
“When Kalonzo stands up and says he should be a flag bearer, maybe he wants to up his stake,” he said.
The Opposition is yet to settle on a flag bearer just four months into the next polls, with the subject threatening the unity of the outfit.
The ticket has attracted the interest of political heavyweights including: Raila Odinga (ODM), Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Musalia Mudavadi (Amani) and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula (Ford Kenya).
