The residents who are also allied to Governor Isaac Rutto’s Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) say that the opposition has to select a “sober and experienced leader” so as to evade unnecessary ethnic tension.
According to them, Mudavadi is that leader.
While speaking in Bomet town on Saturday, the residents said that their support for the coalition will be directly affected by whom NASA chooses to fly its presidential flag.
Led by Bomet Central MP aspirant Gilbert Rono, they said that the ANC leader has all it takes to steer the wheel of Kenya.
“Mudavadi has the necessary qualities and experience to unite the country. He has not been associated with any of the financial scams that have bedeviled the country in the recent past,” he said.
They added that the NASA founder stood a better chance of winning the vote in the county and by large the Kalenjin community.
The residents as well asked that NASA hastens to name their flagbearer so as to end any unnecessary anxiety in Kenyans.
