Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi has explained how the dissolution of political parties to form Jubilee Party will affect aspirants.
According to the former Deputy Prime Minster, the aspirants will be 'hostages' in Jubilee after the nomination process.
Mudavadi has stated that JP leaders led by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto, will impose their favourite candidates in some regions.
“Woe unto those who have dissolved their parties to join Jubilee because after the party leaders impose their favourite candidates in several regions, they will have nowhere to go,” said Mudavadi.
Mudavadi who was speaking in Shinyalu, Kakamega County on Sunday also rubbished calls to have two political parties.
He said the move is backdated and will be deleterious to the country's democracy.
Politicians will no longer switch parties when they lose the nomination process following the passing of the Election Laws (Amendment) Bill on Thursday last week.
