Amani National Congress party leader Musalia Mudavadi has appointed former Cabinet minister Kipruto arap Kirwa as his deputy.
Speaking on Tuesday during a press conference, Mudavadi noted that Kirwa is a seasoned politician, who brings a vast political experience to the party.
“Our numbers in terms of membership and aspirants are growing by the day. We are building bridges and growing networks as we prepare for the General Election,” Mudavadi said as quoted by the Nation.
“He (Kipruto Arap Kirwa) has serious political assets that will be useful in growing and developing the party,” explained Mudavadi.
Kirwa served as Agriculture minister in the Mwai Kibaki administration and is set to vie for the Trans-Nzoia County senatorial seat in the August elections.
He previously belonged to the New Ford Kenya party which was folded up to join the President Uhuru led Jubilee Party.
