Amani National Congress Leader Musalia Mudavadi has challenged Opposition leaders under the umbrella of the National Super Alliance (NASA) to remain united ahead of the August polls.
Speaking on Thursday at the Bomas of Kenya where he held a meeting with members of the clergy, Mudavadi noted that President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election was bound to Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, adding that the presence of the former Vice President in NASA is vital to the coalition.
He further challenged the four NASA principals to sacrifice their personal aspirations and back whoever the outfit will settle on as Presidential flag bearer.
Mudavadi's remarks comes just a day after a section of Wiper Party leaders threatened to ditch NASA if the alliance fails to name Musyoka presidential candidate.
“If it is not Kalonzo, then that will be the end of NASA. It could change to something like Nyanza Super Alliance , because we will pull out,” Kitui West MP Francis Nyenze warned.
NASA is yet to identify a presidential candidate just four months into the next polls.
The ticket has attracted the interest of four candidates: Raila Odinga (ODM), Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Musalia Mudavadi (ANC) and Moses Wetangula (Ford Kenya).
