[Photo/Mumbo News]ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi has dismissed reports that he was behind Tuesday's eviction of Water and Irrigation Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa, in Vihiga.Wamalwa was chased by an angry crowd during the Maragoli Cultural Festival at the Mbale Municipal Stadium.Mudavadi was forced to rescue him after participants at the annual festival brought operations at standstill, chanting 'hatutaki Jubilee!' and 'Uhuru must go!'.They demanded that Wamalwa should immediately leave the venue for the festival to go on as scheduled.Mudavadi who hails from the region, escorted Wamalwa to his car, after which he was driven off.Gunshots rented the air to disperse the angry crowd that had started gathering near the former Justice Minister shortly before he left. However, on Wednesday, Wamalwa accused Mudavadi of failing to show leadership and control his supporters, saying the event was not political hence his attendance. In a quick rejoinder, Mudavadi through his spokesperson Kibisu Kabetesi, accused Wamalwa of gate crashing the event, saying he was not invited.Speaking to NTV on phone, Kabetesi on Wednesday said Wamalwa's presence at the cultural event was a well orchestrated plan by himself, to anger the Maragoli and the Luhya community.Kabetesi said Wamalwa had planned to humiliate himself so as to place high his chances of being reappointed a Cabinet Secretary by President Uhuru Kenyatta.Mudavadi's response followed that of High Court advocate Nelson Havi who accused Wamalwa of gate crashing the Maragoli cultural event. He said the CS gate crashed, leading to chaos."It was shameful and deplorable of Water CS Eugene to gatecrash and cause chaos at the Mbale, Maragoli cultural fete yesterday," Havi who is pro-opposition, said on Wednesday.Several Jubilee leaders from Bungoma have however accused Mudavadi of being behind the chaotic eviction of Wamalwa.
