Political analyst Barrack Muluka has been appointed secretary general of the Amani National Congress (ANC) party.
A gazette notice dated October 30 indicated that Muluka took Godfrey Osotsi's position after the latter was appointed to the National Assembly.
The analyst was nominated for the post October 14 following a meeting of the ANC national executive committee.
Party leader Musalia Mudavadi has congratulated Muluka and expressed optimism that the new office bearer will be up to the task ahead.
"I am confident he will contribute to the growth of the party to a boon," said Mudavadi.
Mudavadi said Muluka will be coming in as an asset not only to ANC but also to the entire NASA fraternity.
