"We as ANC, our constitution gives us the liberty and mandate to join forces with other parties and coalitions," Musalia said.

In his address to the media on Friday, Mudavadi, however, ruled out a possibility of working with the newly formed Jubilee Party.

"However, I want to inform you clearly that we are not in talks with or headed to Jubilee," he added.

Mudavadi argues that his willingness to work with CORD is to ensure that the Jubilee government is convincingly defeated in the next polls.
