Former Deputy Prime Minister and Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi visited the White House, Washington DC for a series of meetings, among them the National Security Council on the afternoon of Friday, July 29.
According to the White House programme, Mudavadi was later hosted for meetings by the Secretary of State office.
The Kenyan politician arrived in DC on Friday morning morning after attending the historic nomination of Hilary Clinton as the first woman presidential candidate in the USA by Democratic Party in Philadelphia.
This comes after Mudavadi secured a major deal with the Friends (Quakers) Church at its headquarters in Philadelphia and thus securing a major boost for youth in Kenya.
Mudavadi was hoisted at the Friends Centre, the headquarter offices of Quaker Church in the world on Tuesday where he entered a Memorandum of Understanding for the church to expand its peace programme in Kenya through training on non-violence conflict resolution, negotiation skills, and advocacy.
"Your coming will be an added boost to peace programmes. It is opportune as we prepare for elections next year. I am sure this youth based intervention will stem proclivity to violence during elections," Mudavadi said.
