Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa has told off Central Organisation for Trade Unions (Cotu) boss Francis Atwoli for allegedly making decisions on behalf of the Luhya community.
Speaking Sunday in his Kiminini backyard, the Ford Kenya lawmaker blasted Atwoli for declaring ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi as the community's political spokesperson.
"Atwoli must know that Mudavadi is his own spokesperson, not the Luhyas. He cannot purport to make decisions on behalf of the community," wrote Wamalwa on his Twiter account on Saturday.
He said the process wasn't consultative and participative.
"Leaders emerge not through research so we don't recognise the purported spokesman," he added.
He added that the move by Atwoli was divisive and could polarise the community with barely seven months to the elections.
