Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi has called on the residents of Tharaka Nithi County to vote for the National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga.
Speaking when he toured the area for a campaign rally on Tuesday, Mudavadi said the country is set for a change on August 8 if NASA removes from power Jubilee administration.
The former Vice President criticised President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto for failing to steer the country to economic development.
He termed the two Jubilee leaders as heartless who do not mind the plight of the poor.
"Kenyans had suffered enough under the rule of Uhuru and Ruto. Now they have decided enough is enough...a new dawn has come," he said speaking at Kathwana Market.
Mudavadi said the cost of living is unbearable for most Kenyans because of excessive borrowing which President Kenyatta-led administration has embraced.
"Jubilee government has reduced Kenyans to beggars. Uhuru took over from Kibaki when the government had a debt of Sh1 trillion and borrowed Sh3 trillion in one term," he said, as quoted by the Daily Nation.
