Kakamega senator Bonny Khalwale has sensationally claimed that Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi met President Uhuru Kenyatta moments after his inauguration as Luhya spokesperson.
Khalwale further claims that Mudavadi is being used by Jubilee administration to scuttle Luhya votes, something that could sabotage opposition in their quest to topple Jubilee government.
Khalwale, who also serves as Ford Kenya Deputy Party leader, has openly opposed installation of Mudavadi as Luhya community spokesperson.
"Mudavadi is dangerous in our opposition team and something urgent should be done. I have information that he met President Kenyatta after Francis Atwoli imposed him on the Luhya people," he said.
"He should be tamed if we are serious to beat Jubilee in this year's polls. He has been dining with Jubilee and I wonder what changed overnight. Time has come for us to face reality," he added.
A section of Western Kenya leaders led by Bungoma senator Moses Wetangula have spearheaded a campaign against appointment of Mudavadi, claiming that they were not consulted.
