Senators aligned to opposition's NASA coalition will retreat to deliberate on co-principal Moses Wetangula's ouster from the Senate as the Minority Leader.
This follows an order from NASA principals, Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, and Wetangula.
One of the principals, Musalia Mudavadi was missing.
The principals held a joint summit with the senators on Thursday over Wetangula's reinstatement, where they directed the senators to get back in 14-days with a detailed report about the matter.
"We have agreed that senators will go for a retreat within the next 14 days and discuss issues regarding the operation within the Senate, how to deal with issues which have been contentious and report back to the Summit within two weeks," Odinga said in an address to the press.
Wetangula was dethroned on Tuesday by Odinga's ODM senators and was replaced by Siaya senator James Orengo.
Odinga said Wetangula as well answered issues raised by the lawmakers during the summit.
The senators had accused the Bungoma senator of arrogance.
"The senators have expressed themselves frankly in this issue, and Hon Moses Wetang’ula, who has been the leader, has also had an opportunity to respond to the issues."
