National Super Alliance (Nasa) chief campaigner, Musalia Mudavadi, has rushed to counter, Jubilee Party visits in the larger Western region.
The Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader and Nasa co-principal has launched campaigs to popularise the alliance in the region, which is perceived to be in support for Nasa.
President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee Party has been making various tours in counties in Western region, which is widely a home to the Luhya community.Mudavadi, a former Vice President, and Sabatia MP, is the community's spokesperson.Kenyatta wants to ensure he wins a good number of votes from the region, in the August 8 polls, as he seeks re-elevtion.He boasts of ensuring farmers in the region are equal to others, nationwide, by provding suffiecietnt resources, besides, reviving the Mumias Sugar Company, PanPaper in Webuye, among other development projects under his governmnet.However, Nasa dismisses this, saying it is only PR.
Speaking as he received various defectors, led by Lurambi MP Raphael Otaalo who defected from ODM, Mudavadi said Jubilee would not use Western Kenya as a stepping stone to power by Jubilee.
