Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi has said that all the principals of the National Super Alliance (NASA) are committed to ensure that Cord Leader Raila Odinga becomes the next President of this nation come August 8.
Mudavadi said he, Wiper Party Patron Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula and Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) leader all agreed to back former Prime Minister to contest for the nation’s top seat.
“We accepted the verdict of the select committee as much as we were all interested in being the NASA presidential flag bearer and that is why we are fully behind Raila’s presidential bid,” said Mudavadi.
The lawmaker, who spoke during an event in which he was appointed to spearhead Raila’s campaign, assured the opposition that he will not fail the opposition.
On his part, Raila urged leaders affiliated to the alliance not to back independent candidates during campaigns as we head to the August polls.
“The NASA coalition has five parties, ODM, Ford Kenya, ANC, Chama cha Mashinani and Wiper whose candidates should be considered in the coming general election to boost my bid,” said Raila. Both Jubilee and NASA have assured their supporters that they will win the August polls.
