Musalia Mudavadi, the Nasa co-principal and chief campaigner, found himself in trouble, during his tour of Suba Constituency, Homa Bay County, Monday.

Nasa was campaigning in the county, with the four principals splitting into two. Raila Odinga, the presidential candidate and his deputy Kalonzo Musyoka, campaigning together.

Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula on the other hand, campaigned together.

However, things did not go well, when Mudavadi visited Suba, accomapnied by area MP, ODM chairman John Mbadi.

Supporters who are believed to be of his opponent, Caroli Omondi clashed with his own supporters, disrupting the rally that had just began.

Mbadi seeks to retain his seat, on an ODM ticket, after beating Omondi in the April party primaries, to clinch the ticket. Caroli seeks to send Mbadi him, through independent party ticket.

Mudavadi was forced to prematurely end the rally, to campaign elsewhere. Homa Bay is perceived to be a Nasa stronghold, with Raila's ODM party enjoying massive following.

He however called on calm, saying Nasa supporters should not clash or attack each other, but rather maintain peace, before, during and after elections.

He also called on residents in the county, not to fall prey, of corruption or bribes, from some politicians, so as to vote for them

"I beseech voters in Homa Bay and countrywide not to be swayed by greed for “kitu kidogo”, they should be inspired by the need for true change," said Mudavadi.
