Speaking on Wednesday in Mombasa when he met church leaders to finalise preparations for the visit, ANC Coast secretary general Jimmy Azangu said Mudavadi is expected to endorse more than 50 candidates who will contest for various seats on the ANC Party ticket.

He said the party has endorsed Mudavadi as its flagbearer in the 2017 presidential race.

“We shall join forces with Cord to tackle the Jubilee Party,” said Azangu.

Mudavadi will next week spend two days of his tour in Kwale and later visit Mombasa.

He is also expected to tour Kaoleni and Langobaya areas in Malindi, Kilifi County.

“Mudavadi’s visit will be important for the party, bearing in mind ANC won the Lamu governor seat in the last elections,” he said, as quoted by The Star.
