Mudavadi says that he had nothing to do with Golden-berg as it has been claimed over the years.

Speaking during an interview on NTV on Sunday, the ANC leader instead said that he was the whistle blower of the scam and that he stopped irregular and dubious transactions related to the multi billion scam.

“My hands are clean, I didn’t have anything to do with Golden-berg,” he said during the interview.

The ANC leader also defended himself against alleged  corruption in relation to the Mavoko cemetery land while he was the Local government minister in former President Mwai Kibaki’s  government.

He accused his rivals of linking him to baseless corruption allegations with the intention to tarnish his name.

“It is malicious for people to link me to corruption scandals at this time of election,” he said, adding that if he was incriminated in the alleged scandals he would have been behind bars by now.

Mudavadi said that he is clean adding that the opposition will act tough on corruption once it forms government in August.

“As NASA, one of our key agenda will be to eliminate graft  that Jubilee government has failed to tame,” he said.
