Amani National Congress party boss Musalia Mudavadi has refuted claims of cracks within the NASA alliance.
Speaking in a press conference in Nairobi on Friday, the NASA co-principal said that all announcements and arrangements that have been communicated by the alliance to the public, with regards to Jamhuri Day's inauguration of its leader Raila Odinga, have been deliberated and agreed on by all member parties.
''We as ANC, the founders of NASA alliance wish to make it clear that the alliance operates and makes its decisions collectively. Therefore, any announcement that has been communicated to the public has been agreed on by the entire alliance,'' he said.
He also reiterated his party's firm backing of the inauguration of Odinga and a number of other leaders on December 12.
This was as an echo to an earlier announcement made by Orange Party Executive Director Oduor Ong'wen, who said that the alliance was on the final stages of its swearing-in preparations, with Mudavadi saying that the alliance is not planning to reconsider the decision.
''We stand by the move that has since been communicated. It is a deliberated move and should there be any changes, it shall be relayed to the nation,'' said added.
