Kalonzo had asked the ANC to cut links with the Jubilee.

In a statement sent to newsrooms by its Secretary General Godfrey Osotsi, ANC has described Kalonzo as being 'misguided and a self-seeker' and asked him to keep his unsolicited advice to himself.

"It was thus shocking when (Kalonzo) Musyoka, totally unprovoked, stood and goaded ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi to publicly declare at Uhuru Park 'that he has severed his links with the Jubilee administration," read the statement.

It added: "Mudavadi treated the mischief with the contempt it deserves and never responded to it. Of course the reason is because he knows those were words of a misguided, self-seeker."

Osotsi said that Kalonzo was trying to settle a personal vendetta and asked him to direct his bitterness elsewhere.

"It is extremely disheartening for the former VP Kalonzo Musyoka to stand before Kenyans and pour personal vendetta and lies," said Osotsi. He noted that it was just a matter of time before Kenyans 'reminded him of his worst political crimes against colleagues and progressive forces'.

Osotsi said Kalonzo was a 'sponsored-spoiler' in the 2007 election who could not stand with the country when it needed him most while adding that he is a 'hypocrite' whose stay in Cord coalition is nominal.
