National Super Alliance (NASA) co-principal Musalia Mudavadi has laughed off Jubilee’s claims that the Opposition is devising means of forcing itself into the government.

Mudavadi said NASA was not interested in forming a coalition government with Jubilee but its focus was to dislodge President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto through the ballot.

The President and his deputy have repeatedly claimed that the Opposition led by its presidential candidate Raila Odinga was trying to engineer an electoral crisis that would lead to the formation of a 'nusu mkate' government.

“The Opposition wants to plant seeds of doubt about the electoral process and cause instability. They will then negotiate to be in a nusu mkate government like they did in 2007," Uhuru said on Thursday during a campaign rally in Mathira, Nyeri.

The DP said the Opposition has sensed defeat as it was not ready for August 8 general elections.

However, speaking during a NASA rally in Bungoma County on Friday, Mudavadi dismissed the claims saying Jubilee was in panic mode and was planning to rig the elections.

“Jubilee are saying that we want to form a coalition government, I am saying here today, that, all what we want is to send Jubilee home come August and not a coalition government,” the Amani National Congress (ANC) leader.

The former Vice President urged Western Kenya residents to rally behind the Opposition and vote for its flagbearer Raila in August if they want to be liberated from the 'crooked' Jubilee administration.

Mudavadi was accompanied by his co-principals Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetang'ula and other opposition leaders.
