Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi has said that the National Super Alliance (NASA) is already causing ripples in President Uhuru Kenyatta ahead of the 2017 general elections.
Mudavadi said that the president’s recent scare claim that foreign countries were interested in changing the leadership of the country was a defence mechanism from the fright of conceding defeat at the hands on NASA.
Through his interview with KTN News on Monday night, the former Deputy Prie Minister said that Uhuru's remarks were mere scare mongering.
"I did not attend the Jamhuri day celebrations but keenly followed the proceedings in which the president made statements of panic and what I would consider scare mongering," said Mudavadi.
President Kenyatta had on Monday warned foreign states against trying to finance individual groups carrying out civic education, saying that Kenyans were not going to take such lightly.
In his Jamhuri Day speech at the Nyayo National Stadium, he warned that any foreign aid that was intended for the electoral systems must be channeled to the respective established institutions.
But Mudavadi says that the President is already scared of the new outfit that is aimed at taking the reigns of the country in 2017.
