Amani party leader Musalia Mudavadi has urged the government to beef up security in Garissa, Wajir and Mandera counties.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Mudavadi criticised the Jubilee government of being too relaxed and failing in its mandate to offer security to its citizens residing in the Nothern parts of the country.
He further noted that the rate at which the terrorist group Al-Shabaab was conducting tests on the Kenyan grounds with freewheeling and sporadic attacks was worrying.
Reacting to the Saturday terror attack on Diif police station, Mudavadi said the Somalia terror group had grown fast in confidence that it can just hit the country without raising much a national furor.
"The silent response by the government clearly indicates it. Jubilee government is sending us the wrong message that frequent acts of terrorism just as normal as any other criminal act," read Mudavadi's statement.
The statement further alleged that Al-Shabaab attackers are emboldened by the laxity in Kenyan security systems and, therefore, doesn’t even spare the police or KDF as their possible targets.
