Amani National Congress party leader, Musalia Mudavadi, has called for calm at a time when the opposition is on the spotlight over the mix up of declarations on who will represent it in the approaching Presidential race set for August.
Addressing members of the press when he visited his Wiper counterpart Kalonzo Musyoka at the Wiper headquarters in Nairobi Wednesday, Mudavadi said that its only the alliance co-principals who have the final say on the Presidential flag bearer.
''If the decision is reached, its only the co-principals who will give the formal communication and not any other person,'' said Mudavadi.
''Any other declaration on who is to be our point man is just but a personal opinion,'' said the former deputy Prime Minister.
According to a leaked agreement from the alliance's coordinating committee, Mudavadi will hold the Chief Minister slot while Ford Kenya party boss Moses Wetangula will be the Majority Chief should the outfit win.
The alliance is preparing to battle it out with President Uhuru Kenyatta in the race for State House in the August general elections.
