Bungoma Governor Ken Lusaka has launched a scathing attack on Opposition alliance NASA co-principals Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula over the outfit's power sharing deal.

The NASA deal will see ODM leader Raila Odinga fly the coalition's presidential ticket, with Kalonzo Musyoka as his deputy.

Speaking over the weekend, Lusaka accused the two of failing to effectively negotiate for a better deal within the NASA arrangement, adding that they have let the Luhya Community down.

“In 2002, Kijana Wamalwa was very bright when he went to negotiate and he said he wanted to be the Vice President. He was not like these two [Mudavadi and Wetang’ula], who don’t know what they want,” he said.

“I don’t have any grudge with the person they have picked. But Raila did not help us in any way when he was the Prime Minister. He only gave Alfred Khang’ati the Internal Security docket,” he added.

He further urged the Luhua community to back President Uhuru Kenyatta's reelection bid during the August polls, noting that they have achieved meaningful development under Kenyatta's administration.
