Speaking on Jungu Kuu on Radio Citizen, Wednesday, Osostsi termed the two as incompetent, accusing them of having wasted every opportunity they had to clinch the presidency thus calling for their replacement with a new team.

''The two have been a let down to our community and the opposition fraternity for wasting every opportunity to rise to presidency.

"A good example is the concluded poll where despite dominating the National Super Alliance (NASA), they were unable to bargain to have one of them picked as the flag bearer, a situation that could have led to a victory'' he said.

He drummed up support for the upcoming set of young leaders from the region, terming them as the only hope for the Luhya community and the entire  opposition bloc.

The team, he said, consists the ANC rebellious trio of himself, Kakamega and Vihiga Senators Cleopa Malala and George Khaniri respectively and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Secretary General Edwin Sifuna among others.

''We have formed a strong union of fresh leaders who are ready and willing to take over and deliver the presidency. We cannot continue to rely on a weak leadership,'' he added.

The ANC nominated lawmaker has been at loggerheads with the two since their move to snub opposition leader Raila Odinga's mock presidential inauguration on January 30.
