Three MPs supporting the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta have said the union between Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula is not going to last as expected by the opposition.
MPs Benjamin Washiali (Mumias East), Emmanuel Wangwe (Navakholo) and Dan Wanyama (Webuye West) also downplayed the meeting held at the Bomas of Kenya as the opposition seeks for the best strategy to send home UhuRuto during the upcoming general polls.
According to the three leaders, the agreements between the duo is only going to oppress the people of Western Kenya.
"If you want to join a metal to another metal or plastic to plastic, there is a particular special glue to use. The only glue to use to unite Mudavadi and Wetang’ula is when neither of them is leader,” Washiali said, as quoted by the Star.
He also said it is hard to bring together Mudavadi and Wetangula considering their past differences.
"There are people you cannot be put in one basket. If one of them emerges top, they start fighting each other the next day. We just give them one month or two and see what will come out,” Washiali added.
