Independent presidential candidate Nixon Kukubo has said Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula have proven they are political brokers who are not serious with their presidential dreams. In an interview with The Star, Kukubo said the two leaders are only striving to remain in the political arena in the coming years. “Mudavadi and Wetangula have proved they are political brokers, who are only using the Luhya community for their personal interests,” said Kukubo, as quoted by the local daily. The former KDF soldier said the National Super Alliance (NASA) and Jubilee leaders do not deserve to be elected into any post because they share the same traits, adding that he is the right man to lead the nation. “The difference between the politicians in NASA and Jubilee is the same. Kenyans should not be deceived into voting for either,” said Kukubo. The aspirant, who lost to former President Mwai Kibaki, urged Kenyans not to be hoodwinked by leaders preaching party politics. “Kenyans have seen what party euphoria and political ethnicity have done to the country. Uhuru should prepare for a humiliating defeat from me,” he said. The remarks of the aspirant come amidst crisis in NASA following Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama fallout with Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.
