Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi has said President Uhuru Kenyatta labeled him ‘madimoni’ when he advocated for party nominations before the last general election. The National Super Alliance (NASA) co-principal claimed that Uhuru has never shown willingness to take part in primaries but has been at the forefront of criticising the opposition over the issuance of direct nominations."For a man who chose to call me 'madimoni' rather than face me at the nomination, President Uhuru Kenyatta should be the last person to talk about nominations. It is known that throughout his political career, Uhuru has never participated in any competitive party primary nomination exercise; he has had the privilege of being appointed," said Mudavadi, as quoted by kenya-today.comMudavadi's sentiments come after ODM leader Raila Odinga asked the Head of State to stop interfering with NASA and instead focus on Jubilee Party affairs. The issue of direct nominations has sparked mixed reaction within and outside the party.
