Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi claims Amani National Congress (ANC) leader is planning a coup in opposition coalition NASA.
Mudavadi is a co-principal in the National Super Alliance, together with Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula.
All the four leaders want to be President. NASA is yet to announce its presidential flag bearer.
In his YouTube channel ‘The 5TH Estate’, Ngunyi says Mudavadi is holding NASA in his palm, since he registered it.
Ngunyi says if Mudavadi disagrees with Raila, he will not release the NASA instruments (registration documents) to the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader.
He says Mudavadi’s strategy is to delay the naming of NASA flag bearer until the party nominations are over.
Ngunyi hypothesises that there will be a fallout in ODM after the nominations, and Mudavadi wants to welcome ODM defectors at ANC and hand them certificates as they fall out with Raila.

“There will be a fallout within ODM. Mudavadi expects to harvest the disgruntled elements. The idea here is to give them updated certificates as they fallout with Raila. And so long as they are defecting to a NASA party they are still at home. Under the banner of NASA, therefore, Mudavadi will split ODM and carry its decedents,” he says.
He further says Mudavadi will then take Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka with him and leave Raila. He will then support Kalonzo for President under NASA, accomplishing his mission of splitting the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD).
